How long have you been a medium?
I first started scaring my parents when I was 6 years old, they bought a rocking chair into the house
and I started talking to a spirit lady in the rocking chair.
My parents were amazed when I described her and upon checking found I was correct.
I don't remember this but my mom delights in telling everyone and
I've been developing ever since then!
Do you have a guide?
Yes, everyone wants to know that.
Infact I have 3 guides that work with me, of which one is my main guide and they are more predominant when I do my mediumship.
There are others and I call them my Police Force who help when I really need them for those sensitive times.
How do you receive the information?
I hear spirit voices talking to me and I can sense how the departed one is feeling.
I also tend to see images in my third eye that take me through what the person is trying to communicate.
Occasionally if a spirit person feels totally at ease with the situation they will show themselves and they look as real as you and me.
Do you get scared?
Simply Yes! but then I defy anyone not to be, even though I know spirit energy is around.
I was once helping with the filming on Most Haunted at the Jamaica Inn and that was an extremely scary place.
Both Richard and myself grabbed a camera as we'd both decided to film something.
You'll see Richard Felix outside under the swinging sign in the pouring rain and me behind the camera.
I remember thinking what a clever idea (not!), until someone put a hand on my shoulder.
Both Richard and myself screamed then saw a shadow disappear away from us.
Next everyone was in the generator room and when the spirit energy kicked off,
I was almost crushed by Derek Acorah as the crew ran out of the room.
What is your favourite thing about being a medium?
I love it when I see the joy and relief on someone's face when I make contact with someone they love. That always makes the job worthwhile.
Where has your mediumship taken you?
I've been so lucky in the fact that I've had the chance to work all over the UK, Europe and I've now been invited to do some work in America.
I've had the chance to go into so many places that most people don't get the chance to see.
I've been in dungeons, castles, priories and tunnels but I always get a buzz when I'm working in someone's home too.
What has been your best moment to date?
I was very proud when Stephen Spielberg and his crew came over to shoot a documentary on me that went on the DVD to the children's film 'Monster House.'
Steven Speilberg was really amazed when he heard I was doing a clearance on a very scarey home in the North of England.
It turned out that real events happening to a family matched exactly to the fiticious plot on his film.
Actually to see all the crew huddled behind the camera man, when I announced that the energy was about to prove he was there by turning off the lights was both scarey and funny.
(By the way he did and actually one very expensive bulb exploded, we had long lunch break after....)
Do you feel everyone has the ability?
Yes although some people find it easier to trust in what they are getting more than others.
It's just our lives are so full we tend to rely on what we are taught instead of trusting our instincts or listening to spirit.
Strangely now though it's the younger adults who are now more interested in the genre today.
Have you worked with anyone one famous?
I recently met Griff Rhys Jones when he was filming 'BBC Restoration'.
I ended up giving him the low-down on the ghosts of the site they were filming.
Infact we spent sometime calling them forward, it turned out a spirit man named 'Jones' stepped forward.
We check the facts after and there was indeed a main man there who had the same surname.
Have you worked with anyone one famous in spirit form?
Actually yes. I couldn't believe it when on stage I was explaining to a woman in the audience about a man who seemed to be a good singer who also was on stage.
Then I laughed as I went on to say he was with another man who (at this point I did the Charlie Chaplin walk with stick) also wanted to say hello.
Laughing again I said I felt as though he was like Charlie Chaplin, expecting her to look puzzled.
She to my amazement said yes thats correct, her father worked with him.
You could have knocked me over but I did carry on with more details and was glad to see him tell me some unknown facts that she confirmed.
Are you able to relax from your abilities?
Have you ever seen the film 'Ghost' with Patrick Swayzee? Well on one scene he keeps singing to Whoopi Goldberg through the night until she agrees to help. I've had that!!! So you decide.
Do you do other things apart from your mediumship?
I also run ghost tours and investigations all over the country and I run overnight stays on a WW1 Gun Battery on the Headland in Hartlepool,
it's real spooky and full of activity espaecially when I ask them. Email me and we'll all spend a night there it's all for charity anyway.
If there's anything you need to know email me and I'll help if I can.
