One of the most common question asked is "Does meditation really work, or are we simply just relaxing?.
The answer to this question is yes, to both parts. Meditation and relaxation is the most beneficial way to meet,
greet and become part of the spiritual world; you are allowing your mind to become open and are willingly seeking a connection.
You will thus be using Attunement of the mind, body and soul (spirit energy).
First and foremost, never, ever, under estimate the power of meditation.
You, by your own natural processes, incorporate meditation on a daily basis without probably even noticing.
Simply put, you will countless times a day perform the function of day dreaming or just wander with your thoughts,
quite naturally, even to the extent of ignoring events around you - often with a blank stare/look on your face.
This then, is where we begin.
Before you attempt any form of spiritual contact, you need to relax and 'Prepare yourself'.
This allows you to remain in control and strengthen any connection made.
If you do not go through this process, you will not be able to determine whether the impressions received are your own thoughts
(i.e. a preconceived idea of what is about to happen) or spiritual.
By Meditating you are able to become aware of your untapped inner resources.
Invoking them whenever you feel stressed, unsure or unsettled.
You begin to understand the usefulness of your mind.
Acheiving inner poise that ultimately percolates into your daily life.
The tranquility acquired become infectious to those around you.
In this way you try to make your whole environment happy, peaceful and illuminating.
Meditation is a great aid and empowerment for the process of relaxation & peace of mind.
This becomes a path for our spiritual quest, of the ultimate spiritual goal, that of self-enlightenment.
Meditation helps maintain that natural integral part of the divine consciousness.
They say that the best meal of the day is that which is taken in the morning, so is the case with meditation.
As soon as you awake, you should ask your mind to think about the positive aspects of the day ahead, regardless of the events that actually transpire.
This process explains to your body how you want things to be.
As soon as you are refreshed and of clear thought, you can then meditate for a 15 minutes period.
Meditation should start by Relaxing , simply sitting on the edge of your bed or chair in the bedroom.
Remember though, this room is already charged and prepared for a peaceful atmosphere.
You can now Ground yourself; in other words feeling the solidness of the earth and then connecting to the openness of the sky.
Sit comfortably with your feet on the floor; think how the soles of your feet are touching the floor.
Imagine your feet are inside the earth (like a pair of shoes) and you can feel an association to the earth.
This becomes one with you, as you flow into the earth, your soul reaches out to anchor with mother earth like a tree spreading it's roots.
Breathing should always be natural; but slow down your oxygen intake in order to consume deeper, longer breaths.
Remember that the air that you inhale is full of the excitement of life and you need to absorb as much of its exquisite oxygen content as you are able
As you exhale, you breathe back a charged product that both the earth and ultimately the plan life within it, requires.
The plants release this energy back into the air itself, for you to once again inhale.
You are now completing a life cycle for yourself, the earth and the plants.
Feel the space and air around you, feel the earth beneath your feet and let your mind wander.
Let images in your mind become random images or follow them to a journeys end, but in all cases allow them to ultimately relax you.
Being spiritually connected is truly a gift. It's like a rainbow on a rainy day, you know it is only there for a certain moment in time,
when all the conditions are right, but it is a truly wonderful experience when you are in the correct position to be able to see it.
Being spiritually connected is truly a gift.
It's like a rainbow on a rainy day, you know it doesn't exist but its beautiful when you realise you can see it.
